This restored farmhouse
has been in the Crouse Family since it was built in 1918.
Bald Knob Farm House is nestled in a Christmas tree farm and has more to offer
than spectacular views.
The grounds are full of beautiful gardens accented with antique farm
equipment.
Located just minutes from the
Blue Ridge Parkway in Alleghany County, North
Carolina,
the Farm House offers a peaceful atmosphere that is as private as it is
beautiful.
A large open yard with room for volleyball or croquet as well as a wrap-around
porch
will entice you to enjoy the out doors, especially in the cool mountain
breezes.

Inside, four large bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for
eight persons
(one queen, two double and two twin beds). Furnished with antiques, the
house provides a full country
eat-in kitchen, a formal dining room and a
living room that will take you back to the early part of the century.
Two modern bathrooms and a laundry room off the kitchen make for easy living
which the "older" folks
did not enjoy. Modern conveniences include a color television/VCR/stereo,
telephone, microwave,
washer and dryer and two fireplaces with gas logs. Linens and paper products
are furnished.

DIRECTIONS
In Sparta,
take NC 18 North approximately
4 miles. Turn left onto Pleasant Home Road. Take the first left onto
Bald Knob Road.
It is the first house on the right.
